 A “Thickery” is a rapid-pace, hands-on working session structured around a series of 7-minute™ lectures whereby a team objectively considers foundational aspects of how an early-stage idea should move forward and prioritizes next critical actions.  The framework for each type of Thickery is the same but the terminology and examples are changed to fit the environment.

How is a Thickery different? A Thickery takes an objective look at a real idea. There is no selling allowed. "Do not continue" is a valid answer.  A diverse team is assembled in advance around a core idea and its champion. Rather than going deep into any one area, Idea Thickening involves swimming sideways across the pool of critical idea analysis. Each module has a tenacious deadline which makes over-analysis impossible. Through templates and a pre-calibrated idea filter, closing decisions are made quickly and transparently.
